About the Role
We’re seeking a Growth Lead to research, design, plan, execute, and report on growth experiments aimed at driving Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) for our platform sales business. You will leverage a backlog of ideas, historical experiment data, and internal editorial and design resources. Post ramp-up, you will manage a short-term P&L and deliver against aggressive MQL quotas across three predefined distribution channels.
This role is crucial in identifying and scaling effective growth strategies that directly impact Basic Capital’s reach and revenue growth.
You Will
Design and Execute Growth Experiments: Plan and implement structured growth experiments, leveraging historical data and market insights to identify successful strategies for generating MQLs.
Manage Short-term P&L: After an initial onboarding period, assume responsibility for managing a short-term profit and loss, optimizing spend across channels to meet MQL quotas efficiently.
Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with product design and editorial teams to ideate, refine, and implement growth initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
Develop Scalable Growth Systems: Create repeatable processes, frameworks, and documentation for growth experiments that can scale effectively.
Report and Optimize: Track, analyze, and report experiment outcomes rigorously, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies continuously.
Build Future Team Capacity: Identify reliable growth patterns and prepare to scale the growth team as success is demonstrated and operations expand.
Advocate Growth Internally: Clearly communicate insights and advocate for growth-driven changes in product development, marketing approaches, and operational workflows.
You Have
Early-stage Growth Experience: Prior experience as a startup founder or significant exposure to growth roles in early-stage environments.
Proven Experimentation Skills: Track record of successfully designing, executing, and scaling growth experiments.
Analytical Rigor: Strong analytical capabilities, adept at interpreting data and translating insights into actionable strategies.
Collaborative Mindset: Effective at working cross-functionally with product, design, and editorial teams.
Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, P&L responsibilities, or related financial metrics.
Excellent Communication: Clear communication skills with the ability to simplify complex growth strategies and data insights for diverse stakeholders.

Background in fintech, retirement solutions, or regulated industries.
Experience working in high-growth startups or rapidly evolving environments.
Compensation
This role offers a competitive base salary of $187,500 plus meaningful equity compensation.
