We’re looking for an operator with a proven network across fintech, HR, and payroll ecosystems, ready to own the full lifecycle of partnerships from origination to enablement.
About Basic Capital
Basic Capital is a fintech company disrupting America’s $1T retirement industry by building the mortgage for retirement, unlocking market ownership, and making wealth accessible to every American. Our mission is to create products, platforms, and a credit marketplace that power a fundamentally new retirement system.
Our founding team includes leaders from Goldman Sachs, Uber, Block, and Robinhood, and we’re backed by top investors such as Forerunner, Lux, BoxGroup, SVAngel, Inspired Capital, and Henry Kravis.
We have an in-person culture with an office in SoHo, NYC.
About the Role
As Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will own the full partnerships lifecycle including sourcing, closing, enabling, and growing key channel relationships. This role is an individual contributor position designed for someone who thrives on hands-on execution and relationship-building.
You will
Source and qualify high-potential channel partners across outsourced CFOs, CPA firms, payroll providers, HRIS startups, CFO-suite fintech, TPAs, trade organizations, and PE sponsor portfolio companies
Negotiate and close strategic partnership agreements
Build co-marketing and go-to-market initiatives with partners to train external sales, marketing, and product teams to support adoption of Basic Capital
Own the enablement and ongoing success of each partner relationship
Track, measure, and report on partnership performance, pipeline impact, and revenue contribution
Qualifications
You bring an established network in fintech, payroll, HRIS, and/or outsourced professional services ecosystems
Demonstrated experience sourcing and closing B2B partnerships with measurable impact
Strong GTM skills, including the ability to design and execute joint campaigns and co-marketing programs without external support
Exceptional relationship management and communication skills
A builder’s mindset. You’re AI-native, scrappy, entrepreneurial, and comfortable owning outcomes end-to-end
Compensation
This role has a base salary range of $150,000–$225,000 and offers meaningful equity compensation.
